As many of you know, we are converting our garage into living space. Our old garage was only 9 feet wide and attached to the house. It was pretty useless as a garage and only used for things like the lawn tractor, gardening tools, etc. So when decided to turn the garage into living space, we needed a shed for all the stuff that would be displaced because of it. So we went down to shed and got one of those "some assembly required" shed kits:
we also sprung for the optional floor kit:
I spent some time (and money) clearing a spot for our new building:
and began setting up the floor kit. Todd Zino came over to help!
As you might imagine, even the floor kit needed some minor adjustments:
But they weren't that hard. Todd then began helping me to assemble the floor frame:
Todd, can you bring me another one?
this is getting tedious.....
Finally, we finished the floor frame and Todd helped me set it on the runners. We won't mention the part where I fell down carrying the floor frame and got my leg pinned between the frame and a runner...
Looked pretty good! Now time to put on the floor itself.
All done! For those interested, everything up to (and including) the floor plywood is pressure treated.
It took most of the day to get this far, but I was happy with the way it turned out. Here's one last view from behind the (soon to be built) shed...
